The best composite deck is made by the manufacturer by taking finely processed wood fiber and mixing it into a thermoplastic matrix for stability and durability. To this mixture are added several additives to stabilize against damage from ultraviolet light, resist damage from insects, and to give the final product a variety of natural wood colors. Your composite decking can be made in solid plank like pieces, or lightweight hollow sections.

Composite Wood Decking

SSTIC Composite Wood Decking Product description

SSTIC composite decking profiles are made of high quality polypropylene and at least 50% wood fibres from sustainable, European forestry. This material combination of wood and polymer is known as wood plastic composite, or WPC for short. The WPC decking material, developed in-house by Reseau, adds wood fibres to polypropylene, combining the positive properties of plastics and wood in particular. It’s excellent mechanical characteristics give the profile a natural feel and look.

Additional surface brushing of the best composite deck profiles creates a roughened finish. Further enhancing the raw look of the product. Advantages over sturdy wood decking include reduced cleaning and maintenance, greater durability and improved dimensional stability. The best composite decks are reversible, offering a choice between two different profiled surfaces.
